OPI Did You 'Ear About Van Gogh? and OPI Obscurity

Left to Right:OPI Did You Ear About Van Gogh?, & OPI Obscurity

I wanted to try something a little different by using OPI Obscurity, which is a matte black nail polish and then using OPI Did You Ear About Van Gogh? as an accent nail. (Who doesn't love OPI's clever names?) Did You Ear About Van Gogh? is such a pretty neutral to have in your collection. I like to call it a "Greige" a mix between a grey and beige color. It's also a creme color which I love. This color is from the OPI Spring 2012 Holland Collection. You might still be able to find these in beauty supply stores as well as online retailers. OPI Obscurity is a matte black polish. (I reviewed this before, check out previous posts)
I really like this look for Fall, it can be dramatic but at the same time the accent nail tones it down!

Don't mind my awkward nails, they are still in the growing out process :)

Sally Hansen Ultra Smoothing Growth Treatment

So I picked this up a few days ago at CVS for only $3! It was 75% off so I decided what the heck, let me try this out! It says it's a growth treatment so I will be uploading updates on my nail growth, if I see any that is.
As you can see this product has a brush applicator, and the formula is thick and a yellowish/orange color. The smell is a bit strong, like nail polish. THIS STAINS YOUR NAILS YELLOW! So I suggest not wearing this alone unless you like having yellow stained nails. I hope this product works! Updating in a few days with before/after pictures :)

Valentine's Day Nails ♥

Valentine's Day Nail Design

I wanted to post this before Valentine's Day of course! I decided to paint my nails with this light pink color by Avon and then got my white polish with a thin brush and painted a heart and polka dots on my other nails. Now for my ring finger I have on this yellow gold glitter by Julep Maven. (Pictures of polishes and glitter used down below!) I love how the nails turned out and love the pop of glitter on my ring finger!

Avon Speed Dry+ in Ballerina, Rimmel French White Tip Pro, and Julep Maven Gold Glitter Pot

Here is a closer look of the glitter pot. Again, I got this from Julep Maven and it came in my December box and was a free gift, they don't sell this individually on their site but any gold glitter nail polish would work. (Julep Maven is a monthly subscription for nail polishes and nail care. Check them out HERE :)

China Glaze - Make Some Noise

China Glaze - Make Some Noise

Make Some Noise is from China Glaze's Spring 2012 Electropop Collection! This color is a red orange coral color! I absolutely love it because I don't own any color like this in my collection. I also think that red polishes are the LBD of polishes. You can never just have one, you need to have as many as possible! I think this is a staple for spring and summer! It is very bright but in a good way.

(With flash; The color got a bit washed out! SORRY)

Wet n Wild Wild Shine - Night Prowl

Wet n Wild - Night Prowl

Night Prowl is a black polish packed with purple glitter. I really am glad I found this polish at Rite Aid on sale! It was 40% off so I got it for .60 cents =D. Either way it's an inexpensive polish if on sale or not. This was a great find because I don't have a polish like this in my collection. It's so packed with the purple glitter that it evenly distributes when applying it.

NYC- Starry Silver

NYC STARRY SILVER

Starry Silver is a clear nail polish with fine silver glitter as well as big chunks of blue and light purple glitter. I love this polish because it sparkles just like a star! (haha that was cheesy but hence the name "Starry Silver")
